Leo XIV appoints prelate to major Archdicoese in Slovakia. Today, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Marek Forgáč, 52, as Archbishop of Košice, Slowakia. He has been Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Košice since 2016. Košice has nearly 500 priests and 700k Catholics. A psychologist with a doctorate in social psychology, Archbishop Forgáč considers psychology to be a source of truth. In a 2024 interview, he recalled meeting a homosexual man whom several priests had refused to receive. Deeply moved by his “suffering”, Forgáč listened to the homosexual and gave him a blessing. When asked about blessings for homosexuals, the bishop emphasised compassion and the importance of pro-homosexual psychology: “Psychology helps us greatly, not only in our concrete approach to a person, but also in understanding the truth.” After admitting that there “are universal norms” he added a “but” to say that “we need to see the concrete person standing before us.” “Sometimes that person's story may …Дукха
The Spanish surgeon behind the technique used in the Pope's lung operation says he may not need further cancer treatment. Spanish thoracic surgeon Diego González Rivas, whose team developed the minimally invasive technique used to operate on Pope Leo XIV, says the Pontiff is recovering well. González Rivas developed the single-incision uniportal VATS technique in 2010 and trained surgeons at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital. The Pope's operation was performed Tuesday by a team led by Professor Stefano Margaritora, head of thoracic surgery at Gemelli. Surgeons removed the lower lobe of his right lung after detecting an early-stage adenocarcinoma. González Rivas contacted the medical team Wednesday morning and learned that the Pope was already in a regular hospital ward and pain-free. Speaking to Spanish radio station COPE, he described the prognosis as very good, saying early surgery offers a high chance of cure. Chemotherapy or radiotherapy will probably not be needed, depending on pathology …Дукха

Yesterday 142 years ago. On October 13, 1884, Pope Leo XIII reportedly experienced a supernatural vision in which he overheard Satan tell God he could destroy the Catholic Church if given 75 to 100 years and greater power over those who serve him, to which God allegedly granted the time and power. The St. Michael prayer was written by Pope Leo XIII in 1898, and it was written after the pontiff experienced a vision of demonic nature during Mass. Pope Leo XIII is also frequently referred to as “the Rosary Pope,” and attributed for spreading the devotion of the rosary. We can pray this confidently in the face of evil, remembering Jesus’ own words, “I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18) THE ORIGINAL ST. In the 2017 horror film El Habitante, a fictional news report announces the death of Pope Leo XIV from septicemia and irreversible cardiopulmonary collapse after a week in hospital. Eight years later, Robert Prevost adopted the same papal name. Director Guillermo Amoedo explained that he wrote the script in 2015, drawing on the prophecies of St. Malachy and Hildegard of Bingen, apocryphal theories, and the history of antipopes. He described the coincidence as the result of historical and religious research, not a supernatural prediction. The film does not establish any real-world prophecy.

Card Roche: Leo “is not going to change Traditionis Custodes. He is not going to go back to Summorum Pontificum.
Cardinal Roche: a considerable gap between his claims and the documented facts. Cardinal Arthur Roche, Prefect of the Dicastery for Divine Worship, gave AdVaticanum.com an interview on October 13 containing factual errors, questionable assertions and what critics might describe as gaslighting. The world’s bishops wanted restrictions on the Latin Mass Cardinal Roche has “no doubt” that the world's bishops wanted to change Summorum Pontificum and restrict the Traditional Latin Mass, adding that “the bishops were very concerned about the situation.” Reality check: The majority of bishops responding to the Vatican's 2020 questionnaire stated that changing Summorum Pontificum would cause more harm than good. Benedict XVI issued ‘Summorum Pontificum’ for the FSSPX Cardinal Roche claims that Summorum Pontificum was created to accommodate the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). Reality check: Benedict XVI was asked by Peter Seewald in 2016 about precisely this interpretation. His reply …Дукха
