No Press Conference: Leaving Castel Gandolfo after his usual Tuesday visit, Leo XIV brushed off reporters' questions with a brief response: "Not today."
He has actually finally figured this out! Pope Leo XIV left Castel Gandolfo this evening, where he traditionally spent Tuesday. When journalists tried to ask him questions he replied “not today”
The consistory that began today "feels like it was organized by a Human Resources department," one curial cardinal told the Substack.com-Account 'The Pillar' on June 26. The report relies entirely on anonymous sources. "It's all too tightly controlled. It doesn't feel like there's freedom to discuss the issues we need to discuss. Instead, we're being led by very specific questions on very specific issues in very small groups, without space for open discussion," the cardinal said. A second cardinal expressed uncertainty about the consistory's agenda: "These are surely very important societal issues and challenges, but I am not sure what we are supposed to add to the discussion beyond talking about personal experiences." He added: "I don't know what the Holy Father expects of this consistory, if I'm being honest." "There's too much control over the topics, and too much dispersion. Consistories usually focused on a single topic. How are you supposed to have a substantive discussion in a …Máis

Having accepted in 2025 bishops appointed unilaterally by China, Leo XIV should not threaten the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) with excommunication for similar actions, writes Rev Matthew Dimock, a diocesan priest of the Diocese of Charlotte on OnePeterFive.com on June 25. Rev. Dimock is NOT a defender of the FSSPX. His argument is that justice requires the Church to enforce its laws consistently, rather than making exceptions based on diplomatic or political considerations. In late April 2025, during the period between the death of Francis and the election of a new pope, the Chinese Communist Party announced the election of two bishops, an Auxiliary Bishop of Shanghai and the Bishop of Xinxiang. Shanghai already had two bishops and one auxiliary bishop. Xinxiang already had a bishop. Normally, the Vatican publicly announces bishops before their episcopal consecrations, but in these cases the announcements came only on the day of the consecration. Rev. Dimock argues that …Máis
As an example of how Catholic clergy were/are treated in China, the UCA (Catholic News agency in Asia) reported in 2007: “In the days before the patriotic congress, Catholic clergy in Hebei province – were pressured by the government to attend the congress." Bishop Li disappeared after the army forced him to illicitly ordain a bishop. People believed Li was embarrassed to show his face to the faithful for what happened and hid himself in the Cathedral in Cangzhou. After a few weeks, police officers and other people went to the cathedral and gave the resident priests there an “ultimatum” to hand over the bishop, UCA News reported. The diocesan Vicar General, Chancellor and two other priests who work at Bishop Li’s house were taken away, detained, and questioned for information on the bishop’s whereabouts. They were warned that if the bishop could not be found, his family and the diocese would face trouble. The officials questioned everybody in the house, including the doorkeepers and …Máis
Worse than Germany: An "interfaith prayer vigil" linked to a homosexual march will take place on Friday, 26 June, in the Salle des Colonnes, the parish hall of Saint-Eustache Church in central Paris, France. The huge and very famous Church of St Eustache was built between 1532 and 1633 and is the second largest church in the city, just behind Notre-Dame. The event is being organized by the homosexual organization D&J Arc-en-ciel (David & Jonathan) together with affiliated groups. According to the organizers, the vigil is intended to offer "a moment of gathering, prayer and celebration of our diversity" on the eve of the annual Marche des Fiertés (homosexual march). The Archdiocese of Paris has been led by Archbishop Laurent Ulrich since 2022. #newsQepdeslwln
Today, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X has published the coats of arms and episcopal mottos of the four bishops to be ordained on Wednesday. Fr Pascal Schreiber's Family Lions Fr Pascal Schreiber has chosen the motto Virgo Fidelis ("Virgin Most Faithful"), one of the invocations from the Litany of Loreto. Episcopal mottos are usually drawn from the Bible or express the bishop's personal mission. His coat of arms contains personal references. The two lions are taken from his family's coat of arms. Each holds a golden quill, a canting reference to the surname Schreiber ("scribe"). The colours black, red, and gold for Germany, where the seminar is based in Zaitzkofen. Fr Michael Goldade's Twelve Ears of Wheat Fr Michael Goldade's motto, Adeamus cum fiducia ("Let us go with confidence"), comes from Hebrews 4:16. The defining feature of his coat of arms is the twelve ears of wheat. Besides symbolizing the Eucharist, they recall North Dakota and Kansas, his places of origin and …Máis
A monk from the traditional Benedictine monastery of Notre-Dame de Bellaigue in Virlet, central France, has disappeared without a trace. The monk was reported missing on Wednesday morning, prompting a major search operation by the French Gendarmerie. Ground teams and aerial units have searched the area around the remote monastery, but after two days no trace of the missing religious has been found. The search for the missing monk is ongoing. Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances of the disappearance, and investigators have not indicated whether they suspect an accident, a voluntary departure, or criminal involvement. According to LaMontagne.fr, two monks cautiously suggested that the missing brother may not have left the monastery of his own accord. Notre-Dame de Bellaigue is an independent Benedictine monastery that celebrates the Mass in the Roman Rite. It maintained close ties with the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) until 2019. Since then, the monastery has …Máis
Leo XIV: "War Never Blessed By God": At today's extraordinary consistory, Leo XIV once again rejected the just war theory, declaring: "War is never worthy of man, and is never blessed by God." He also announced that the extraordinary consistory would become an annual event, with meetings lasting approximately two days held around the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul on 29 June. Furthermore, Leo XIV described his exercise of the papal office as that of one who 'asks' rather than commands.
Cardinal at Wrong Microphone: A lighthearted moment opened the Extraordinary Consistory as Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, Dean of the College of Cardinals, walked toward the wrong microphone. Smiling, Pope Leo XIV quipped, "In front of everyone, Your Eminence!" before the 92-year-old Cardinal crossed the hall to the correct microphone and delivered his address.
1960 peace movement all that is missing is cannabis. Horizontal church who believes miracle of fish and loafs was everybody sharing what they have . Thanks JPII you let seminaries teach this crap while persecuting SSPX
Worse than Germany: The Caritas of the Archdiocese of Florence has launched Project Andrea, under which the Archdiocese will work hand in hand with the group Arcigay. The latter is Italy's leading homosexual advocacy organization. IlGiornale.it reported on June 23 that the flagship initiative of the project is Casa Andrea, a facility open to homosexual young people. The house will offer "personalized support and protected accommodation for young men and women in [gender] transition between the ages of 18 and 35." The entire project is funded by the Church through the Italian tax allocation 8×1000 (eight per thousand). "We are very proud to have opened Casa Andrea and the services connected to it," said Marzio Mori, director of Caritas Florence. This is only the latest sign of the Florentine archdiocese's closeness to homosexuals, especially since Archbishop Gherardo Gambelli took office in June 2024. #newsGtjpfzidqt
Fr. Gerald Murray on Vatican's rejection of laypeople preaching the homily at Mass: "It's a good ruling...there's a sacred priesthood in the church, and the priesthood offers sacrifice and teaches the faithful."
The Vatican knows this is being done throughout the world. Yet no consequences. The document is nothing more than gaslighting - and this priest is smart enough to know it happens in his own Archdiocese.
