Church authorities are examining a possible Eucharistic miracle after a consecrated Host placed in water reportedly failed to dissolve and subsequently developed reddish stains that “could be blood”, the Cathedral Parish of El Niño Dios in Cuilapa, Guatemala, has announced on August 22. The parish is the cathedral of the Diocese of Santa Rosa de Lima. The incident began on July 30, during a Missionary Eucharistic Week. A priest was celebrating the Eucharist at a private school when he noticed that a teenage student, after receiving Holy Communion, was removing the Host from his mouth. The priest intervened before the student could throw it to the ground. Following the procedure used in such cases, the priest placed the Host in a glass of water in the chapel of the parish house so that it could dissolve. When the chapel was cleaned the following Thursday, however, a parish worker found that the Host had not dissolved and noticed reddish stains which appeared as though they might be blood …Hafa
The Catholic Biblical Association has elected as its president a distinguished scholar who openly says: “I do not believe in Jesus as Lord.” There is nothing scandalous about Amy-Jill Levine saying that, she is admirably honest. She is a practising Jew. The extraordinary question is why an association constitutionally committed to Catholic biblical scholarship thinks the confession that Jesus Christ is Lord is apparently unnecessary for its highest office. At some point, we have to ask: what is the word “Catholic” actually doing?

Today, Vice President J.D. Vance attended a Mass in the Roman rite with his family at Old St. Mary’s Church in Cincinnati, reports Crisis Magazine editor Eric Sammons on x.com, who was present. “It was nice to see J.D. Vance and his beautiful family at Mass this morning,” Sammons wrote on X on August 23. Sammons said Vance lives nearby and that his family attends several Cincinnati-area parishes when in town. He added that this was Vance’s first visit to Old St. Mary’s since becoming vice president. Vance’s presence brought additional security. According to Sammons, Secret Service agents screened everyone entering the church with handheld wands and checked bags. Sammons said the screening caused only a minute or two of waiting, describing the agents as “professional, efficient, and quite friendly. He also noted that he had heard Vance say his family deliberately varies which churches it attends to avoid repeatedly inconveniencing parishioners at any one parish. #newsBibrwcfcti

Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of ’s-Hertogenbosch spoke with AdVaticanum.com on August 22 about the Synod and the decline of Catholicism in the Netherlands. Main quotes. - “Walking together” is valuable only if the Church knows where she is walking. The destination is not increased participation but Christ. - Consultation, participation, pastoral structures and synodal methods all have their place. Once the means start occupying more attention than the end, something has become inverted. - The Church possesses something unusual among institutions: she has received a Revelation which she did not invent and cannot rewrite. - The missing words in the Synod are repentance and conversion. - The synodal process did not create the Western European crisis. But after several years, there is little evidence that it has found an effective remedy for it. The medicine resembles the disease! - Nobody needs Christianity in order to learn that meetings should be inclusive. - Dutch statistics report …Hafa
Who Profited From the Iran War? Before the bombs fell, the money was already moving. In the weeks leading up to the Iran war, billions of dollars flowed into the family’s orbit — from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar. At the center of it all was Jared Kushner, negotiating with Iran while managing a fund backed by Middle Eastern governments. Trump’s sons invested in drone companies before the war began. Oil markets saw a mysterious $580 million trade just minutes before a key announcement. And as the conflict escalated, their financial positions surged. This video connects the timeline, the money, and the decisions that shaped the war. Watch until the end — the pattern is clearer than you think. Leo XIV: "Faith Is Not Given Once and for All" At today’s Angelus, Leo XIV appeared to blur the distinction between the objective content of the Faith and its subjective appropriation: “Faith is not something given to us once and for all. Rather, we continually need to rediscover the face of Christ.” He then urged the faithful not to retreat into religious certainties, adding: “When it comes to the Christian faith, we may be content with […] what has been handed down to us.” Instead, Leo advocated “friendship with Jesus” through an “ever-new encounter”: “This may also ask us to follow unfamiliar paths and to make choices different from those we had imagined. This is true both for our personal journey and for the journey of the Church, as well as for our pastoral choices, when we may sometimes think that it is enough simply to continue doing things as we have always done them.”
Two short video quotes from today's Angelus: Leo XIV offers unusual definitions of faith, suggesting that focusing on what has been handed down to us is insufficient.
"when we may sometimes think that it is enough simply to continue doing things as we have always done them" Do not simply continue going to the Novus Ordo. Instead, attend the Tridentine Mass!

More than 2,300 Catholics took part in Argentina’s 17th Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Christendom from August 15–17. Inspired by the Paris–Chartres pilgrimage in France, this year’s pilgrimage set a new attendance record. The pilgrims covered approximately 100 kilometres from the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Rawson, in Buenos Aires Province, to the Basilica of Our Lady of Luján, Argentina’s national Marian shrine. Mass in the traditional Roman rite was celebrated each day at outdoor altars along the route. The traditional Mass was not permitted inside the Basilica of Our Lady of Luján. The pilgrimage instead concluded at the basilica on August 17 with Eucharistic adoration and the Rosary. Several prominent clergy took part in the pilgrimage. - Fr. Raúl Olazábal, of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, celebrated Mass on the first day, the Feast of the Assumption. - Fr. Augustin-Marie Aubry, prior of the Fraternity of Saint Vincent Ferrer in Chémeré, France, celebrated …Hafa
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW [advaticanum] Bishop Rob Mutsaerts has served as the Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of ’s-Hertogenbosch since 2010. His ministry has been typified by a confidence in proclaiming the truth, notably through his criticism of the 2019 Amazon Synod and his concerns over the lack of evangelical wisdom behind Traditionis Custodes. He has also been a forceful voice against the tides of Dutch secularism in a country that has experienced some of the more pernicious elements of the trend. In the Netherlands, the lives of newborns and children under 12 can be deliberately ended without an affirmative request from the child under strictly defined circumstances, while euthanasia can be administered to those aged 12 and over in cases of psychiatric suffering. Almost 60 per cent of the country reports no religious affiliation, while Islam is the fastest-growing major religion, with more than twice as many 15–17-year-olds identifying as Muslim (14.2 per cent) as Catholic (6.9 per …Hafa
Does Leo XIV Embrace Borderless Globalism? “People always come before borders, before definitions and institutions,” said Leo XIV at the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples in Rimini, Italy, on Saturday. “This realization stands at the center of Christianity,” he continued with more platitudes, adding: “Evil is not fought with evil. It is time to oppose the false realism that rearms minds, words, and nations with the realism of mercy.”

The Society of Saint Pius X has built a new church in Atlanta, designed to accommodate 500 worshippers. It is designed in a neoclassical style and draws inspiration from Roman basilicas, although some Baroque elements are planned.
Not to be disrespectful, and I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but the church looks like a New England Protestant (Congregational) church. What is in the inside of this church is the most important aspect.
Monsignor Anthony Spinosa, 75, a Maronite Catholic priest, has been accused of engaging in a public homosexual act with registered sex offender Kenneth Kopp, 54, at Perkins Park in Warren, Ohio, according to Wfmj.com. Spinosa had served since 2002 as rector of the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson. He was elevated to the rank of "Chorbishop" (prelate) in 2016. On Thursday, he was relieved of his ministerial assignment. The allegations stem from July 31, when a couple walking their dog told police they saw Kopp on his knees allegedly performing a homosex act on Spinosa, who was smoking a cigar. They further alleged that one of the men invited them to join in and offered to let them watch for payment. According to the police report, the incident occurred "in broad daylight," about 100 meters from a playground where children were present. Police subsequently found Kopp in a Honda Civic near a black rug and pink boots. A search of the vehicle uncovered wigs …Hafa

The ART of deceit to mislead the Faithful. Many consecrated will break the Vows they made with God and embrace what is abominable. 1) Genesis 3: 1-4,6; The serpent was the most cunning of all the animals of the field that Yahweh God had made. And he said to the woman, “How is it that God has said to you, ‘You shall not eat from any of the trees of the garden’?” The woman replied to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden. But as for the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it, or you will DIE.’” The serpent said to the woman, “YOU WILL NOT DIE”. When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, pleasing to the eye, and desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some of its fruit and ate it; she also gave some to her husband, and he ate it. 2) Proverbs 6:16-17: "A lying tongue" and "a false witness who lies with every breath" among the seven things God detests. 3) John 8:44; You belong to your father,…Hafa
