New FSSP Apostolate in Arlington

The Diocese of Arlington, in Northern Virginia, has announced the creation of a new apostolate entrusted to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP), Bishop Michael Burbidge announced on June 19.
Father Jonathan Romanoski FSSP and Father John Audino FSSP have been appointed to the Chaplaincy.
Following the motu proprio Traditionis Custodes in 2021, the Diocese of Arlington experienced a unprecedented eradication of Masses in the Roman rite.
With 21 locations, Arlington Diocese was one of the strongest for the Roman Rite in the United States.
In 2022, the Diocese of Arlington reduced the number of "permitted" Mass locations from 21 to 8.
Of those eight locations, only three - Saint Rita in Alexandria, Saint John the Beloved in McLean, and Saint Anthony of Padua Mission in Falls Church - received Vatican permission to continue Masses in parish churches. The remaining five communities were relocated to non-parish churches.

Cardinal Ruini’s testament reveals ‘unease’ over the Francis pontificate

Full testament of Cardinal Ruini: A key aide to Pope John Paul II

VATICAN CITY (PerMariam) — The full testament of Cardinal Camillo Ruini – a key aide of Pope John Paul II – has been published, containing reflections on his long career and the three popes he served under as a prelate.
On June 16, Cdl. Ruini died in Rome at the age of 95.
Ordained in 1954, he was consecrated bishop in 1983 and made cardinal by John Paul II in 1991. He swiftly became an influential figure for the Polish Pope, serving as secretary general of the Italian Bishops Conference from 1986 - 1991, and then president of that body from 1991 until 2007. He was also vicar general of the Diocese of Rome from 1991 until 2008.

Ruini’s response to many social moral crises was much in line with John Paul II and Benedict XVI, and his firm opposition to LGBT ideology made him an unpopular figure in the increasingly anti-family forces gaining ground in Italian society. {For a detailed obituary see Vaticanist Edward Pentin’s write-up} Though perhaps less …

US Cardinal: Leo XIV Deepens Francis' Outreach to Homosexuals

The homosexual group Outreach, founded and led by the homosexual activist James Martin SJ, organises its annual conference on June 19-21 at the Jesuit-run Georgetown University. From 2021 to 2024, Francis sent an endorsement message.
In 2026, two US Cardinals support the homosexual conference. Outreach published endorsement letters by Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington and Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago (below).
Cardinal McElroy wrote on June 19 that he is “delighted” to welcome the homosexual group in Washington, adding: “For I know that the Holy Spirit will be profoundly present in our meetings and discussions at this key time in the history of our Church and our nation.”
He wrote that the conference is taking place “at a moment when the pastoral foundations laid by Pope Francis for authentic ministry to and with the LGBT community are being deepened and refined by Pope Leo.”
Cardinal McElroy further stressed that the conference comes “directly after the release of Study …Zwiṅwe

Sad at this news, sure that it's a road to nowhere. There is an implusiveness in Fr Michael Mary that is at the heart of this.

"Bishops’ Consecration" at Papa Stronsay

Fr Michael Mary of the Transalpine Redemptorist group at Papa Stronsay, Scotland, will receive an unauthorized “episcopal consecration” on July 25. The community announced this on June 18 on the monastery's blog.
The candidate is the founder and superior of the group. He is rumoured to foster a personality cult around himself.
In 2025, the group rejected the post-Vatican II hierarchy and adopted a sedevacantist delusion.
The episcopal consecration is scheduled to be performed by Bishop Pierre Roy, a Canadian sedevacantist bishop. He will be assisted by Bishops Rodrigo Ribeiro da Silva of Brazil and Fernando Altamira of Argentina.
All three "bishops" had previous ties to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX). Two were ordained priests within the Fraternity, while the third was ordained by Bishop Williamson.

All three consecrating "bishops" derive their “episcopal orders” from the lineage of the eccentric Vietnamese …Zwiṅwe

Ancient Chaldean Church vandalized in Northern Iraq: The historic Mar Kiriakos Chaldean Catholic Church in the village of Sharanish, near Zakho in northern Iraq, was recently vandalized. Videos released in mid-June 2026 show damage inside the church. Mar Kiriakos, believed to be more than 400 years old, is one of two historic Chaldean Catholic churches in Sharanish. No perpetrators have yet been publicly identified.

Ancient Chaldean Church vandalized in Northern Iraq | Shalom World News
An ancient witness of Chaldean Christian faith in Iraq has been desecrated in Sharanish, a historic Christian village near Zakho, close to the Iraq–Turkey border. Video from inside Mar Kiriakos Church shows extensive vandalism, with sacred spaces damaged and church property destroyed. The incident has left the local community mourning the incident, which is another blow to a village that has endured years of instability and displacement. Sharanish, home to the Chaldean churches of Mart Shmune and Mar Kiriakos, remains a symbol of the ancient Christian presence in Mesopotamia. As investigations continue, the faithful hold on to a message carried through centuries: a wounded church can still be a living testimony of faith.

Churches in communion with Rome
Who are the Christians of Iraq? A long history …
After periods of Mongol, Turkoman, and Safavid rule, Mesopotamia fell under the Ottomans, whose empire lasted until the First World War in the early 20th century.
It was during the Ottoman period that the East and West Syriac Churches – the Chaldean Catholic Church and the Syriac (or Syrian) Catholic Church, respectively – were formed.
The Syriac Catholic Church was created when a Jacobite patriarch united with Rome in the 18th century. The Bishops who did not enter into full communion with Rome formed the Syriac Orthodox Church.
Today’s Chaldean Catholic Church dates from 1830, when the historical patriarchate of the Church of the East was united with an earlier Chaldean branch created in the 17th century. An even-earlier Chaldean union from the 16th century subsequently separated from Rome and developed into what are today the Assyrian Church of the East and the Ancient Church of the East.

Globe and Mail journalist calls 100k assisted suicides a 'cause for celebration' - LifeSite

Thu Jun 18, 2026 - 4:56 pm EDTThu Jun 18, 2026 - 9:31 pm EDT
(
LifeSiteNews) — Over the past decade, many in the international press have openly wondered how Canada’s euthanasia regime went off the rails so swiftly and so grotesquely that other nations have decided against legalizing assisted suicide for fear of turning into Canada.
There are, of course, many answers to that question, but one cannot be emphasized enough: Canada had essentially no open debate on assisted suicide in the press. After Canada’s Supreme Court magically discovered a “right to die” (in the right to life), the press celebrated. As legislation was debated, anti-euthanasia voices were conspicuously absent and ignored (with the lonely exception of Andrew Coyne, then at the National Post).
In fact, when I turned on the CBC in my car one evening in a fit of apparent masochism in 2016 and heard them announce a debate on assisted suicide, I wondered who would be representing the pro-life side. The debate turned out …

Report: Williamson Confirmed Viganò's Conditional Episcopal Consecration in Writing

Bishop Richard Williamson ( January 2025) allegedly confirmed to Sean Johnson that he had conditionally consecrated a Archbishop Carlo Viganò, 85, a bishop in 2023. Johnson published a 2023 email from Williamson on Seraphim54.substack.com on June 19.
Johnson is a former seminarian of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) and father of nine children who now attends Mass at the US-based Congregation of Saint Pius V (CSPV), a traditionalist splinter group from the FSSPX.
Johnson's publication is consistent with information previously received by Gloria.tv from independent ecclesiastical sources.
Viganò was consecrated a bishop by Pope John Paul II in 1992.
Since 2023, a persistent rumour about the conditional [second] consecration of Viganò has circulated.
Johnson’s article claims that he emailed Viganò twice in November and December 2023 asking about those rumours but didn’t receive a reply.
Then, Johnson contacted Williamson.

Argentine Bishops Thank God for the 'Courage' of an Abortion Activist

The Argentine Bishops' Conference issued a tribute to the abortion activist Taty Almeida, 95, following her death on June 14.
In a June 15 statement signed by Archbishop Marcelo Colombo, president of the conference, and Bishop Raúl Pizarro, secretary general, the bishops sarcastically praised Almeida's "historic commitment to human rights". They even “thanked God for sustaining her courage”.
Almeida was one of Argentina's best-known “human-rights” activists. She was a longtime member of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo movement about people who disappeared during Argentina's military dictatorship.
The bishops' statement ignored her support for abortion.
Almeida publicly supported Argentina's abortion movement. She frequently appeared wearing the green scarf that became the symbol of the campaign for legal abortion and backed the effort that led to abortion legalization in 2020.
Almeida was closely associated with sectors of the Argentine caviar left and often appeared alongside progressive …Zwiṅwe

Francis has completely ruined Argentina. Deliberately.

Since you probably lack time and enthusiasm needed to peruse all 1600+ pages of documents, however fascinating and revealing they are both individually and in the aggregate, here are the broad takeaways of what they prove:
The good news was that it showed the intelligence community (IC) is not, after all, composed of all witless morons. Many immediately recognized that the Wuhan lab was the most obvious source of covid’s chocolately badness.
Somehow, Dr. Fauci wielded insane levels of influence inside the IC. “The intelligence community almost always incorporated Fauci’s recommendations,” Tulsi said. He used that outsized influence to conceal at least two big things.
First, Fauci didn’t want anybody connecting dots between the pandemic and certain NIH grants he personally approved for coronavirus research at the Wuhan lab.
Second, he especially didn’t want people talking about those grants because they were for research that, if one were feeling uncharitable, could easily be described …Zwiṅwe

WASHINGTON (TNND) — On her last day in the Trump administration, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released files that she said were "exposing" Dr. Anthony Fauci for allegedly using intelligence agencies to cover up the COVID-19 lab-leak origin.
Gabbard said in a video posted on X on Thursday that as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Fauci "provided millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology—work which is now widely viewed as the source of the unintentional lab leak that sparked the pandemic."

The Eucharist, Altar Rails, and the Dignity of Catholics | The Devil Cannot Kneel ~ Fr. Perricone
Why do Catholics kneel before receiving Holy Communion? Why did altar rails once stand in nearly every Catholic church? And what does kneeling reveal about our dignity as children of God? In this powerful sermon, we are reminded that no man stands taller than when he kneels before Almighty God. Drawing from Sacred Scripture, the teachings of St. John Paul II, G.K. Chesterton, and the wisdom of the Desert Fathers, this sermon explores the profound meaning of kneeling in Eucharistic worship. From St. Peter falling to his knees before Christ, to Mary Magdalene weeping at the Savior's feet, to St. Thomas proclaiming "My Lord and My God," Catholics throughout history have understood that kneeling is the proper response before the King of Glory. The sermon concludes with a striking story from the Desert Fathers concerning Satan himself—a reminder of the eternal significance of humility, adoration …Zwiṅwe

The terrifying number of patients who have suffered Covid jab complications revealed, after NHS pharmacist left paralysed by vaccine takes his own life

Nearly half a million Britons claim to have suffered from side effects from the Covid jab, analysis of official figures reveals.
Over 2,500 people have submitted reports claiming that a family member has died as a result of the jab.
The figures from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) yellow card reporting scheme – which allows anyone to report complications from a drug – showed that the
AstraZeneca jab had the most reported complications.
This comes after a report of John Cross who took his own life after the Covid vaccine left him paralysed has finally been awarded compensation, three years after her husband's death.
John Cross suffered a rare reaction to the AstraZeneca jab which left him in hospital on a ventilator, unable to move, talk, or breathe.
He gradually managed to gain some mobility back, but never fully recovered after taking the jab.
Despite his illness, he was rejected from a government scheme that paid a lump sum of £120,000 to people harmed …

Monday, 19th May 1913 Burns Agent Outlines Phagan Theory
Monday, May 19th, 1913
Famous Detective's Aid, C. W. Tobie, Issues First Statement on Work in Slaying Case.
C. W. Tobie, manager of the criminal department of the W. J. Burns Detective Agency, Monday made public his theory of the murder of Mary Phagan. For the first time the man who is representing Burns in Atlanta's greatest mystery until the noted detective arrived consented to see reporters.
Tobie's theory is that Mary Phagan was murdered inside the National Pencil plant, by some one familiar with the premises, and that her body was dragged to the basement for purposes of concealment and probably destruction. He scouted the idea she was killed on the outside and dragged inside, and declared that too much buncombe has been given out by men who have only muddled the waters.
While no new arrests are expected immediately, Tobie declared the mystery is not all impossible of solution, and that the guilty man will be apprehended in …
